First weekend in Vienna
Time flies ... and my first week in the new job is already over. It has been a great week: the topics in my job are great and the stuff I have been looking for. Of course after a week only it is hard to say how it will be - I have been learning a lot, rotating through departments ... and by middle/end of next week I will be taking up work on my tasks independently... welcome to hotel purchasing!
After work I was busy every single evening... a highlight was the reading of Daniel Glattauer from his new book 'Alle 7 Wellen' (for all german speakers - in my opinion it is a must-read! I loved it) at Schauspielhaus were Birgit invited me over. I do enjoy seeing all my friends here in Vienna a lot ... and yesterday the first Vienna weekend started for me. I met Birgit and Lene for breakfast at 'Deli' at the Naschmarkt and then we strolled over the market, bought some Fallafel and checked a shop for carneval disguises. (Annas party is coming up on 24.2!)
Then had a drink at Phils before I went for coffee with Wolfgang my flatmate from Salzburg who has also moved to Vienna recently. It was good to see him again and to know that he is doing fine in his new job. At night I stopped over at Lenes place where she and Birgit went to after Phils. After a drink and coffee I went home... had to do my chores in the flat (yessss... it was already my turn to do the cleaning... yeeeaaahh!) and cooked dinner for my flatmates. A relaxed weekend!
