Easter weekend

I don’t really want to comment on the regularity of my blogging so I will just start writing … again promising to keep my typing/blogging more frequent.

Easter was really special this year as Luke came down from Edinburgh to visit. It has been a long time since we studied together at Stirling Uni and also a longt time since we saw each other for the last time. First I thought that there would be brilliant weather and sunshine for skiing. Everything came different. It started snowing right when Luke flew into Munich and when I picked him up at Salzburg train station the town was basically already covered in snow.
A little restraint to our weekend was that Luke brought a cough with him which turned out to be a rather severe cold which he directly passed on to me.

But of course this did not keep us from having a good time. Going out in Salzburg was the plan for the first night and Max joined us. Friday was a “stop over” in Vienna with some good Mojitos in the Museums Quarter and last round of drinks in Pepe when back in Salzburg.

Saturday was a really quick round of skiing in the afternoon and some wok dinner at my place together with Max and Verena at night – really enjoyable … but both of us were really feeling weak because of the cold. Nevertheless on Sunday we strolled town and tried to make some nice black and white shoots of Salzburg downtown before heading to the icehocke (Austrian National Championship, Best of 7) between Salzburg and Ljubljana. Actually both, the game and the situation with the Slovenian fans, turned out to be quite exciting ….

After not having seen Luke for quite a while (we think it must have been 4! years) this weekend was a really brilliant one and I am already looking forward to see Luke and Cass in Edinburgh in May … and then of course at their wedding in October!

After having Luke dropped off at Munich Airport my Monday was spent with the family for some Easter coffee before getting back to work …

No problem mate. Still feeling a little sh*t but nearly there! Perhaps I need some warm weather like you had in UAE...it snowed here last night so I guess a sauna us my only option.
