Esböjrn Svensson Trio. I love their music and still can not believe that I had the chance to see them live in concert 2 days ago at the Salzburger Jazzherbst.

It has been a long time ago that I have been to a concert that has been touching me in such an intense way. Goose skin moments from the very beginning on, stories evolving, each instrument fascinating on its own. Their music is so powerful but weak and fragile at the same moment. You could feel the dedication of the musicians. For example Magnus Öström only playing a base drum, snares and a couple of high hats ... sometimes only with his hands - producing an incredible sound setting for the stories that these three musicians were telling.

Really can not put it into words ... but those 90 minutes were brilliant. Should you have the chance to see them live somewhere make sure you don´t miss it.

And if you can not, let me at least recommend you my favourite E.S.T. tunes:

Believe, beleft, below
From Gagarin´s point of view
Why she couldn´t come
The return of Mohammed
Ballad for the unborn
