FIFA 2007 Tournament
It was a couple of weeks ago when a bunch of us together with Damien from our favourite pub O'Malleys had the idea to start a FIFA 2007 Playstation tournament. Where? In Malleys of course!
Just recently Malleys was equipped with one of these flat screens everyone would like to have in his own living room. After moaning about the fact (Malleys is about having a beer and meeting friends - isn't it??) that the TV is there we decided to make best use of it: the tournament!
So after having signed up and having chosen a team (Mike: AC Milan, Helmut: Real Mardid and myself: Barcelona) we me on Sunday 4th of March with about 15 other guys for some FIFA fun.
As we were a lot of people it took quite long (for some too long ...) to get to the end of the tournament. Mike and Helmut did not qualify for the finals and therefore left early. As I managed to make it to the quarter-finals (where I lost against a guy who played Lyon and was the later winner of the tournament) I had to stay longer and finally left at 1:15 in the morning!
Well - a lot of fun it was and the next tournament will start tommorrow on Sunday 18th at about 6 p.m. in Malley's. Pro Evolution Soccer is the game this time ... just come for a drink and some football action!
