The Wine Trip

It has been ages since I did my last entry. Not that I have been particularly busy ... I think it was laziness.
At the end of October I was in Innsbruck for a day and in the afternoon I met with Pete (a flatmate of mine in my last flat in Innsbruck) because we wanted to do a short trip to an austrian region called "Südsteiermark". This region is famous for its wine and this especially in fall when the last sunrays can be enjoyed outside. So Pete and I felt like making this experience - it was great!
We arrived quite late and as we were not the only ones who went ther for the weekend we were lucky to find a B&B. Right the next morning we started to explore the hills , vineyards and of course started to taste the Sturm (a drink that I do not know how to explain... sorry guys) and the chestnuts.
As both of us have never been to Graz before we made a day trip to Graz too and I have to say we were lucky because the weather was great during all three days ...
To sum it up: great wine, great food, great landscapes, great weather ... the only thing we did not understand: why do the styrian point to the left side when meaning the right side??? And last but not least: by accident we found a branch office of the FBI!
