Gruezi!

Last time Babsi was visiting Max and me in Salzburg we were talking about visiting her in Zurich where she works since July. Immediately we fixed a date and so Max, Verena and I drove to Zurich on the second November weekend.
As it took us quite a while to get there we arrived on friday evening and after having had some Pizza at Babsis place we went out in Zurich. Next morning we had planned a tourist program and discovered the town under the professional lead of Babsi. As it was November 11th there were plenty of bands that all were wearing colorful disguises - they were welcoming carneval.

Unfortunately it the weather was windy and wet so we had some coffee in the afternoon and then went home to have a nap befor leaving for the wine exhibition. The exhibition took place on 12 boats that were floating on Zurichs lake. While tasting all the different wines we made an interesting discovery: swiss wines are not really that good as the austrian wines - so we finally went to the only austrian booth and stayed there ...
Directly from the wine boats we went to a restaurant were we had booked a table. We had a really great cheese fondue there ... and of course a good bottle of white wine. Although we were quite tired after dinner we headed to a part ot the town that is a mix of red-light-district and bars and pubs.

There is not too much to tell about the sunday. We all sleept in (although we wanted to get up .... ) and finally woke up at 11:30. After breakfast Babsi took us to Rapperswill (we still believe that this is the home town of all swiss gangster rappers) where we defied the rain and had a walk on the shore of the lake before we went back home to Salzburg.
