Phils Birthday - Vienna

Having had a couple of though nights out (thanks for the crazy Shamrock Session Max...) I got on the train to Vienna on late Saturday afternoon. Well ... I did not think that things would work out as I wished but Phil really did not expect me to show up at his birthday party. Having arrived at the station I first called Phil in order to congratulate and whish him a good night out and - of course - to tell him that I was sorry that I could not do that. So I headed to Willi´s place where I was treated with a delicious dinner and enjoyed catching up with Willi after not having seen him for a while ... a great start into a great night!

At around 9.30 pm we met the others and Phil at Charlie P's Irish Pub. And of course Phil was surprised to see me at the party! After the first pint we gave Phil his birthday present: a puzzle that he had to solve led him to his present: a voucher for a weekend at Käthy´s hut in Mauterndorf together with all of us! Well ... I don't want to tell too much about that night (I know some people will appreciate that ...) but a couple of beers, shots and bars later I finally huged my pillow at 6 in the morning.

And a couple of hours later the party went on ... birthday brunch! Got on the train in the late afternoon where Sue and I finally managed to solve the weekend edition of the Standard crossword together! I as absolutely knackered on sunday evening - but the weekend once again was hilarious!
