Innsbruck

Here it is: the long promised Innsbruck weekend update! I was shocked when I realized that this funny trip took place 3 weeks ago! But here are the details:
Max and I started on Friday afternoon after worked and drove directly to the "wine exhibition" where we met Sidi and Kerni. In the beginning Max and I felt tired ... not really ready for going out. But things changed and when the exhibition halls were about to close we definitely were in a wine mood. After having "tested" several red and white wines we decided to party on at the Bögen. So we went to one of our favourites: Down Under. What came next was a wild mix of wine, beer and shots. Schalli happened to be in the Pub too ... and Do was already waiting there for us. It was really good fun!

The next morning started with a good breakfast and lot of fun. Why fun? Because we (Sidi, Kerni, Max and myself) were basically wasted. Sooooo ... after a coffee with Ingrid and Sebastian downtown we all met with Schalli and her friends to celebrate her birthday. We drove to Matrei and from there started to walk up to a monastery and go sledging. Unfortunately the Olympic Games and the doping tests of the austrian athletes also brought some troubles for us: the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) found us in the Tyrol and annoyed with frequent tests while ascending and sledging down.

(one of the Jägermeister WADA checkpoints)

After having raced down the mountain on the sledges - woha - the whole track was unbelievable fast - we all met downtown at an Indian restaurant where Schalli had arranged a special dinner for us. This dinner was a unique experience because we were all lying on matraces and pillows and nearly fell asleep after a hard day of sledging and WADA controls.

So after really good food (Max especially enjoyed the Fish-curry) we ended up at Michis and Schallis flat having another drink. Altogether being out there with you guys was - once again - incredible. And don´t forget: the next time the new "Salzburg team" (Max and Wolfi) will be responsible for organising the party!
